Wild Blue Yonder and Gallifrey One

A quick hurrah for tonight’s most excellent Doctor Who, Wild Blue Yonder! Magnificent in so many ways, and pandering to my love of Exploring A Mysterious Creepy Spaceship something rotten. It was bizarre to have monstrous moments that scared the dickens out of me in In The Mouth of Madness, a film I first saw at a very unsuitable age, now be considered cool for a pre-watershed family show, a quarter of a century later. And it made me appreciate a little better how early Hammers were seen as so shocking. (I adore them, but even as a wee lass, they were always thrilling rather than outright scary.)

Very much looking forward to flailing about this one for Verity! podcast. (And unlike last week, I won’t be recording at 3am, hurrah! Coherency will be mine!)

In more personal Doctor Who type news, I’m a guest at next year’s Gallifrey One convention! This’ll be my second year as a guest and I’m really not sure how many years overall (fifteen or so?). And I’m thrilled to be going back to the very best of all conventions. Every year is an absolute blast. (And look at that guest list! Amazing!)
