It's Podcast Tuesday! Which is not actually a thing as far as I'm aware but if I pretend it is then I might feel obligated to rec a podcast EVERY Tuesday and then I will have a series of lovely podcast recs, which I intended to make starting a bit ago, ahem. ANYWAY, onwards to…

Doctor Who – Sleep No More
It's Doctor Who day! By which I mean there is new Verity! out today, so getting back to my Doctor Who reviews seemed thematically relevant. On V!, we're discussing the very first episode of the New Series and it's quite a spiffy ep, of the podcast I mean (the telly ep is quite good too).…
10 Awesome Things About Dragon Age Inquisiton
Last week I finished my first runthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition, and I loved it. Ridiculously. First, it's Bioware, and I've yet to meet a Bioware game I haven't liked, and secondly, it's Dragon Age, which has my RPG heart. (Yes, I love Mass Effect, and think it is brilliant and fem!Shep is one of…

Happy New Year and all that…
Some might argue the New Year arrived about a week ago; these people are, of course, wrong. It was yesterday. That bit before doesn't count because there were floods and I had fake flu, and I wish to start the New Year both well and not feeling faintly panicky every time it starts to rain.…
Doctor Who – The Zygon Inversion
Another day, another review type thing of a Doctor Who ep. That's right - it's one a day till the season's over...or more if I'm feeling partic energetic, and then I can flail cheerfully about River Song, hurrah! Anyway, onwards: I've really enjoy all the cliffhangers this series. Nothing's properly beaten Beneath the Lake, but…
BBC Shop Loot!
This was going to be a very lovely Eastercon report, but I haven't quite finished writing it yet, and it's getting well into the eveningtime, when the words start to blur into one another. So, instead, here is a picture (which I've put some weird-ass filters on; in my defence I was looking at it…
Doctor Who – The Zygon Invasion
Doctor Who is over for a whole several weeks, alas, and then Christmas, and then it really properly is over for MONTHS, horror, but I stopped recapping in the middle of the season. Apologies to everyone who was reading - I was swamped with work, and it didn't help that Zygon Invasion also marked the…
Face the Ravenclaw
This week's Verity! is out. I have not heard it yet, but I ASSUME they are all very excellent and correct about how great Face the Raven was. If not, I shake my head in fannish sadness at em. Also, the first special ep of Down and Safe arrived safely on Monday. It's almost two…
Please do not aim your ships at us
Look, yes, obviously you shouldn't drink and drive, especially if what you're driving a a 7000 tonne fucking SHIP, and yet I still feel everyone should take a moment today to commemorate the end of the no doubt noble career of the Russian sailor who drank half a litre of rum before aiming his ship…
I live on podcasts and wine, apparently
Yes, I owe this blog, um...four posts about Doctor Who. And I will make them. It's just this has turned into a ridiculously busy time, and I've had to do a smidgen of prioritising, alas. What I have found time for, however, is a few extra podcasts. So if you just have to find out…
